I’m in my middle fifties, hopefully a season of mellow fruitfulness in which I can apply the wisdom of my years to future adventures. I love books and trees, gardens and growing things. I take pictures, read and write. I knit and garden and talk. I like living within sniff of the sea and sight of the Downs. Autumn is my favourite season, except in spring. I like the smell of secondhand bookshops, old churches, estuaries and just-mown grass. I bake and walk (as far as my feeble body can manage) and spend far too much time on the internet…
